Rocket Science have been handling the online side of this UK blues rock band’s marketing campaign. The band have been gigging non-stop to promote their album ‘Standing in the Shadows’ so online content has to be carefully planned each week.
Planning Facebook posts is essential to keep a consistent message, which has been made more effective by using the band’s branding on everything. Promoting radio shows, and then ‘listen again’ of radio shows, pre-promoting live shows, and then reviews of shows, fan pictures and behind the scenes images, plus magazine interviews and reviews is a hectic job for a busy band.
The band had plenty of interviews and blog mentions. One trick is to pull out a phrase or quote from the article to reinforce the message, alongside a graphic, to get a stronger ranking in Facebook:
